Fear is typically categorised as an emotional response to a situation or direct threat to a person’s well being. This is a normal emotion to feel however this can interfere with your quality of life if left.

A phobia is very similar to a fear however there is one key difference. People with a phobia generally exhibit and demonstrate signs of anxiety. This anxiety they experience can be so strong that it interferes with their quality of life or their ability to function.
